(GOTHENBURG, Sweden, March 21, 2024, at 16:10 CET)– Heliospectra AB (publ) (First North Growth Market: HELIO), a world leader in intelligent lighting technology for greenhouse and controlled plant growth environments, announces a new order from a leading greenhouse grower and supplier of herbs in Ontario, Canada. The new order includes Heliospectra´s fully modular MITRA X LED light and helioCORE™ system solution and is spread out over 2 deliveries in 2024 and 2025. The total order value is 7.2 million SEK.
The grower, located in Ontario, Canada, is a leading greenhouse grower of high-quality herbs for the North American market. Heliospectra’s cutting-edge technologies will further improve the customer’s cultivation practices, driving sustainability, efficiency, and yield optimization.
Heliospectra’s MITRA X LED lights and control solutions will be integrated to decrease energy cost for the customer while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and longevity by using cutting-edge A-band components from industry leaders such as OSRAM, CREE, and Inventronics.
With wattage options ranging from 325 to 1500 watts, this modular system empowers growers to tailor light distribution and quality to meet specific plant requirements, optimizing growth and development.
Heliospectra’s full wireless system, including helioCORE™, will be installed with our DLI Management System and our new wireless sensor DOXA, providing growers with a tool to enjoy savings of up to 35% beyond the energy efficiency gains achieved by transitioning from HPS to LED lighting, thereby enabling this grower additional rebates.
Furthermore, our system offers growers exclusive advantages, including dynamic grow zones. This feature empowers growers to establish and adjust grow zones wirelessly, even down to a single fixture, allowing for flexibility and control. Additionally, two-way communication with our PSU enables our advanced software to receive crucial data such as fixture and environmental temperatures, operating hours, and grid harmonic pollution. Leveraging this wealth of data, our software provides precise monitoring capabilities and notifications, enabling our growers to track the performance of their lighting installation and return on investment accurately.
“By integrating our MITRA X LED lights, wireless sensors, and helioCORE™ system, this customer will achieve substantial energy savings in their greenhouse. This not only goes in hand with their sustainability strategy but makes them eligible for additional rebates, decreasing their investment costs substantially. This is a big benefit when installing Heliospectra lights,” stated Bonny Heeren, CEO of Heliospectra. “The customer gains control and precision in their greenhouse with our high-quality solution based on top-tier components that will last for years to come.”
The first delivery is expected to occur during Q3 2024 and amount to approximately 40% of the order value. The second delivery will take place in 2025.
